Project Work

KDS Civil Engineering has the skills, experience and resources to undertake projects on any scale, and our client list includes such celebrated names as British Steel, Avesta, Bridon International and Hays Distribution.

Qualified Engineers

All work is carried out by qualified personnel, all operations are fully supervised, and the high quality of the end result is confirmed by KDS Construction's accreditation to BS EN 9002.

Family Business

Despite the growth in the scale of its operations the company has retained its character as a family business, and takes pride in offering a service that is not only efficient and cost-effective but friendly and personal.

Safety

Safety is a major consideration in the construction field, and KDS takes seriously its responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act. The hazards inherent in each project are defined by detailed risk assessments, and controlled by the issuing of method statements and by careful supervision.

Equipment

All personnel are issued with personal protective equipment and are required to wear this in accordance with the requirements of the risk assessments issued.

Training

Training also makes a major contribution to a safe working environment, and to this end all employees of KDS hold a "Passport to Safety" - indicating they have completed a Health & Safety training course endorsed by the CITB.

Regulations

Specialist training for dumper, excavating driving and most recently Personal Track Safety (PTS) is also undertaken.

In addition to its emphasis on Health & Safety, KDS fulfils its responsibilites under the Construction (Design & Management) regulations 1994, either as Principle or Works Contractors.
